Uon First Aid club blood drive sees strong turnout

University of Nairobi’s First Aid Club, in collaboration with Red Movement Kenya organized a blood drive at the UoN-KNH Campus from the 25th -27th March 2026, that saw a remarkable turnout of donors.

The event was aimed to replenish the dwindling blood supply at local hospitals. Volunteers who were mostly students at the Faculty of Health Sciences and collaborating organizations worked tirelessly, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for donors.

Advancing AI research in Obstetrics and Gynecology field at FHS

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) hosted a delegation from Edan, a respectable medical equipment manufacturing company from China, for talks on a groundbreaking collaboration in setting up of an Obstetric ultrasound training center.

The delegation led by Mr. PK Lau, underscored the need of setting up of the innovative center that purposes to increase skilled personnel in the obstetric field so as to reduce maternal neo-natal mortality rate.

UoN, KNH, and SHARE strengthen partnership in microsurgery training and reconstructive care

The University of Nairobi, Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), and the Surgeons in Humanitarian Alliance for Reconstructive, Research and Education (SHARE) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening microsurgery training and reconstructive surgical care through a collaborative programme that brought together residents, faculty, consultants, and institutional leaders in Nairobi.
