Advancing prostate cancer research in Africa: Highlights from the Heroic Workshop

From March 9th to 12th, 2025, the Heroic Workshop on Advancing Prostate Cancer Intervention Strategies Through Translational Research took place at the East African Kidney Institute (EAKI), University of Nairobi. This high-impact event brought together leading health experts, researchers, and stakeholders to drive innovative strategies in prostate cancer treatment and research across Africa.

Faculty engages in strategic plan sensitization and mid-term performance review

The University of Nairobi’s Directorate of Planning and Performance Management held a crucial engagement with the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) management and staff to sensitize them on the University’s 2023-2027 Strategic Plan. The session also served as a mid-term review of the faculty’s performance contract.

The meeting was graced by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Margaret Hutchinson, and the Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Brian Ouma, who underscored the importance of aligning faculty operations with the broader institutional goals.
