Registrar’s Induction Meeting

KNH in conjunction with the University of Nairobi and College of Health Sciences, had a registrar’s induction meeting where they discussed on how to bring up qualified and specialized medical practitioners. “KNH being the largest referral and training hospital in East and Central Africa is a center for epidemic control, for instance the recent outbreak of Coronavirus. World-renowned HIV researcher Frank Plummer, 67, dies

Frank Plummer, a "scientific maverick" whose research had a profound impact on global public health, has died.

The world-renowned microbiologist was most widely recognised for his ground-breaking work on understanding HIV transmission.

Dr Plummer, 67, was also recognised for leadership roles in the Sars, H1N1 flu and Ebola epidemics.

He had recently spoken publicly about undergoing experimental brain surgery to treat alcoholism.
