The UNFPA Kenya Kenya Country Office has launched a photo competition to raise awareness on the progress made and challenges that remain in Kenya’s march towards the 3 ZEROES namely:
Zero preventable maternal deaths
Zero unmet need for family planning
Research scientists from the University of Nairobi have teamed up with their colleagues from other African countries to form the Sisulu Foundation for African and Pandemic Disease Response (The Sisulu Foundation).
Background Most of the deaths among neonates in low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs) can be prevented through universal access to basic high-quality health services including essential facility-based inpatient care. However, poor routine data undermines data-informed efforts to monitor and promote improvements in the quality of newborn care across hospitals.
