The College of Health Sciences is the pioneer and leading medical training institution in Kenya. Graduates include medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, dentists and biological scientists at all levels of training upto post doctorate levels.

The East Africa kidney Institute (EAKI) was launched on October, 2014 following a senate approval. The Institute was to address the burden of chronic kidney diseases that are emerging as a major global health problem with heavy morbidity and mortality with its associated social and economic burden. They are the 12^th cause of death and 17^th cause of disability. East and central Africa region is experiencing a great need for the scientific base knowledge and skills for the practice of urology and nephrology.
