Faculty of Health Sciences joins University-wide tree planting exercise

Faculty of Health Sciences staff take part in the University of Nairobi’s annual tree planting exercise at the Faculty of Agriculture, Upper Kabete Campus.

Staff from the Faculty of Health Sciences took part in the University of Nairobi’s annual tree planting exercise on Friday, 11th April 2025, at the Faculty of Agriculture, Upper Kabete Campus. 

The event, which brought together members of the wider university community, saw the planting of over 3,000 avocado and indigenous tree seedlings.

The tree planting initiative was led by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Margaret Hutchinson, who emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and the university’s commitment to sustainable development.

The Faculty of Health Sciences proudly joined hands with other faculties and departments in this meaningful activity, contributing to a greener future and reinforcing the university’s role in climate action.
